Korene Annette (Marden) Anderson

Korene Annette (Marden) Anderson, 88, of Glasgow, Montana, passed away February 20, 2026, at Walnut Village Assisted Living in Yankton, South Dakota.

Korene was born January 9, 1938, to Robert Marden and Verna Iwen Johnson in Bainville, Montana. Robert died when Korene was 9 months old. Verna married Gilman Johnson and added three brothers to their family. Korene graduated from Glasgow High School in 1956 and married Andrew G. Anderson Jr. in 1957. They spent their lives in Glasgow, where they grew their family with four children and enjoyed precious moments together cruising around and fishing on Fort Peck Lake.

Korene loved being a homemaker and found her passion in cooking, crocheting, gardening and caring for her pets. She was a familiar face for many throughout the Glasgow community, spending some of her time helping Andy at the family’s bulk fuel business.

Korene was also a lifetime member of the First Lutheran Church of Glasgow.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Boyko (Tom) of Yankton, S.D., her sons Jeffrey (Stacy) of Great Falls, MT., Timothy (Cindy) of Longmont CO., and Michael of Billings, MT.; grandchildren; Joshua Frost, Lacey Hill (Eric), Jacob and Claire Boyko, Jeryl and Logan Anderson, Tessa and Hannah Anderson; great-grandchildren Brielle Anderson, Peyton Frost, Eilee and Cort Hill; brothers Dale Johnson (Susan), Dean Johnson (Penny), sisters-in-law Annette Bergan and Ann Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.

Korene was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Anderson, parents Robert Marden and Verna Johnson, stepfather Gilman Johnson, brother Dallas Johnson and great-granddaughter Jada Errecart.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
