Nina Theresa (Holtrop) Reddick

Nina Theresa (Holtrop) Reddick was born May 6, 1929, in Custer, Washington to Harry and Hattie (Bovendam) Holtrop. One of nine children. In her younger years she picked strawberries, raspberries and beans to earn money for school clothing, etc.

Nina graduated from Lynden High School in 1947. She met the love of her life, Robert Reddick, in 1947 and they were married November 12, 1948. They moved to Opheim, Montana, Robert's hometown. They spent one year there, then moved to Portland, Oregon for six months. From there they moved to Kelso, Washington for five years, before returning to Montana. Nina worked in motels for ten years. Then helped her husband in The Upholstery Shop for nine years. After moving to Nashua, Montana, she worked as custodian at the Nashua School. She retired in 1989. Together they had six children.

Nina belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary for a few years in Fort Peck, was a member of Gumbo Gals Garden Club for ten years, a member of Nashua Senior Citizens and Grace Lutheran Church in Nashua. Nina was active with Bingo at Senior Citizens, quilting at the Lutheran Church, helping friends and neighbors when needed. She loved to read, daily walks, country music and gospel music. When working at The Upholstery Shop, she made quilts for each of her children. Nina moved to Prairie Ridge in November 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and children. Robert Reddick (2009), sons; Stanley Reddick (2008) Harold Reddick (2008) Clifford Reddick (2014) David Reddick (2016). Daughters Charlotte Wright (2003) Edna Gutz (2016) and son-in-law Steve Gutz (2017). Her brothers, John, Joe, Bert and Elwyn. Her sisters Fern Klein, Grace Krotus and Glenice Honrud. Sisters-in-law; Leona Holtrop, Lola Holtrop, Lillie Holtrop Mitzel, Mary Reddick, Della Hallock, Mabel Reddick and Delores Forthum. Brothers-in-law; Leland Klein, Delbert Geleynse, John Kortus, Roy Reddick, Jerry Reddick, Ed Reddick, Rene Geleynse and Junior Honrud.


She is survived by one sister, Anne Geleynse of Bellingham, WA; sister-in-law Elieen Reddick, Miles City, MT; brother-in-law, Don Reddick Bozeman, MT and sister-in-law Lynda Reddick; daughters-in-law Bev Elgie (Bill) Wolf Point, MT, Nicki O'Herin of Orangevale, CA and Cathy Reddick, Mesquite, TX. She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, with a special thank you to Dennis and Mary Honrud for all you have done. She has 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4:00-6:00p.m. at Bell Mortuary. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00a.m. at Bell Mortuary with a reception to follow at the VFW. Burial will take place in the Nashua Cemetery following the reception.
