WKRG says a pig recently made itself at home in a West Mobile, Alabama yard. Jamey Watt says the pig showed up last week and has been uprooting grass, trampling his garden and sleeping in a plant arrangement. He and his friend shooed the pig away, but it returned an hour later. The police and Animal Control say they can't do anything to the pig unless they get permission from its owner. Jamey cannot find the pig’s owners so it is continuing to live in his yard

If you’re one who gets a kick out of parking illegally, St. Louis is apparently the place to be. Reports say that there are over 40K illegally parked vehicles that are eligible to have parking boots placed on them…but the city only owns 30. In addition, there’s a citywide issue with manpower that has resulted in cars that should be towed, but never are. The prime example of that is one SUV that’s been sitting in the same place since last April. Each day, an attendant walks up and places a ticket on it, and those tickets have accumulated to a total of over $8,600 to this point. Still, no one has towed it, and that’s because the city won’t tow cars that don’t have a boot on it.

Authorities in Catania, Italy say they’ve caught an unusual litterbug in the act -- a dog. Surveillance cameras recorded the animal trotting up to a roadside, dropping plastic trash bags, and heading back home. But officials say the real culprit is the dog’s owner, who they believe trained the animal to dump garbage so the human wouldn’t be caught on camera. Local police called the scheme "cunning and doubly unfair," noting that it not only dirtied the streets but also exploited an unsuspecting pet. The owner has now been fined, though investigators haven’t said exactly how they proved the dog was acting on command. Under Italian law, illegal dumping can cost offenders anywhere from 1,500 to 18,000 euros -- but there’s no penalty on the books for canine accomplices

According to the Social Security Administration, a woman who lives in Dallas is officially dead, again. The agency has wrongly declared 94-year-old Helen Cvik dead four times in less than ten years. The first and second times, in 2017 and 2020, were cleared up quickly, though with no explanation. Social Security declared Miss Helen legally dead twice in 2025, most recently in December. That problem hasn't been cleared up yet, and Miss Helen and her family are paying for her insurance, prescriptions, and assisted living care. The Dallas office referred Cvik’s family to contact the Illinois branch of the agency and they were also no help in fixing the issue.
